Please contact us if you have any further questions.
How do we start our Adventure?
Please call, send an email or fill out our enquiry form. Once I receive your enquiry I will contact you to answer any initial questions and arrange a meet and greet, where I will come to your house to meet both you and your pet(s). We will discuss your needs, routine, special requirements and I’ll answer any remaining questions you may have. I will email/bring all the paperwork for you to read in your own time.
How does it work?
We usually hold keys to your house and will come and attend to your animals in an agreed time slot. In the case of walking we will collect the dog and then return after the walk.
When are you available to walk my dog?
We are available throughout the day, Monday to Friday. Evening or weekend walks are available for regulars with reasonable notice, subject to availability.
Do you offer out of hours services/weekends?
Yes, subject to availability and with sufficient notice.
I only require occasional walks, would that be ok?
Yes we are happy to provide occasional services providing we have diary availability. We recommend that you give as much notice as possible.
How do you transport the dogs?
We have a fully insured vehicle which is free from advertising, where your dogs will travel in comfort to a suitable walking spot. Dogs will be kept separate whilst in transit.
How much do you charge?
Please see our services and pricing page. If there is something you want but don’t see, please contact us.
Where will my dog be walked?
Our Adventures will include new and exciting places in the local area. If your dog has a favourite local walk then please let us know. Our Adventures will always be in a safe environment, away from traffic.
Do you walk dogs off the lead?
Yes, when we are confident of their recall we would prefer to walk them off lead, but it depends on your requirements. If your dog could do with a little extra practise on their recall then we can keep them on a long lead while we work on this, at no extra charge. We will only let your dog off lead once we have written consent from yourself and it is safe to do so.
How many dogs do you walk at one time?
Our group Adventures are great fun and exercise for your dog. Numbers will vary depending on our bookings for the day. We try to keep groups small for safety and to ensure maximum interaction with your dog.
What happens in bad weather?
Well that’s just another normal day in Manchester. We will clean and dry your dog off as much as possible and ask you make available your normal doggy cleaning/drying equipment for use, but at least a towel. Only in severe weather conditions, where there could be a danger to your dog, would we end a walk early. This may also be the case if the are extreme temperatures, to ensure non of our dogs are too hot/cold.
Do you have restrictions on what dog breeds you walk?
We love all dogs and will take each dog on its own merit, not on breed reputation. We will assess all dogs at the meet and greet, and each new dog is subject to a trial period. Any signs of aggressive behaviour will be investigated and we reserve the right to refuse to walk any dog.
What happens if my dog does not get on with another dog?
We will carefully select which dogs will walk together, based on personalities and individual needs. If we find there is any kind of issue with dogs in the group, we will make changes accordingly and advise you of our decision. We want all of our dogs to enjoy their Adventures.
My dog can be aggressive with people or other dogs, can you help?
Where possible we will try and work with you and your dog to improve these behaviours. This will initially require one to one walks, consistency and may require additional training and behavioural observations.
My dog is nervous around other dogs.
Depending on the severity we may have to walk the dog on a one to one basis. We will however work on this to try and increase their confidence. We have previously worked with nervous dogs who are now able to go on our group walks with other dogs. This can be discussed in the initial consultation.
Do you take bitches in season?
Yes, only on private walks and she will remain on a lead.
Can you walk my dog if he/she hasn’t been spayed or neutered?
This can be discussed at our meet and greet and each dog will be considered separately.
What’s included in a “house visit”?
Basically whatever it is you require, including changing water, feeding, providing toilet breaks in the garden/cleaning out litter trays/cages/tanks, groom, play, or just sitting with your pet to provide some fuss and attention.
What do you do in the event of an emergency?
If an emergency situation occurs, we will immediately notify you. At our initial consultation we will provide you with paperwork to complete, which will include your emergency contact details. We will take your pet to the vets if we believe they need medical attention, this will be either your named vet or if necessary the nearest one. We will also take this decision if we are unable to reach you on your emergency contact numbers.
Are you insured and Police checked?
Yes we are fully insured (which includes key cover) and DBS checked.
What do I do if I need to cancel?
Please contact us by phone as soon as possible, but with a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel a single booking, or 1 months notice to cancel a full week. This will ensure you incur no fees.
What security measures do you have?
We will keep your key secure and separate from your personal information so your property can not be identified. If your key is ever lost or stolen, you will be advised immediately. Our vehicle contains no advertising so as not to draw attention to the fact that you may be out of your house.
Can animals stay with you?
Unfortunately we do not currently have the facilities to offer this service.
Can you administer my pet’s medication?
Yes we can administer medication for your pet with written consent and in accordance with your written instructions.
What are the terms and conditions?
These can be found with the contract paperwork.
How do I pay?
We accept cash, cheque or bank transfer.
